Coming Back in 2026

Well hello everyone.  It is good to be back in this space of blogging sharing and connecting with the world.  It has been a very very very long time since I have open up The Blue Rose Cook blog page and in that I time, I have had my fingers in new and exciting things as well as new life experiences.

In it all, I can truly say it has been good and no complaints.  Who wants to hear complaints anyway.  There are enough going around and I don't need to add to the pile!

Let's start 2024 😁.  I dibble and dab in gardening thinking this has to be easy just put a seed in the dirt water and let it go.  Wrong! I had no success and barely was able to grow one tomato.  So I gave up on gardening until I took a gardening class and I learned a lot and was hooked.

First you have to have patients and understand nature and all the little pieces of it that is part of gardening. Understand the seasons and timing, know your planting zone, placement for your plants, planting in ground or containers, and fertilizers are just a few things to know for a successful in garden. I will share more information about my gardening adventures in new blogs coming later.

I recently retired and this has provided the time and opportunity to be on my "own" schedule not only to garden but to invest in my mental and physical health by including yoga, line dancing, Tai Chi, and chair exercises in my schedule.  Staying flexible and being able to have good movement is important to me plus it provides me with energy and brain clarity.  I didn't know what I was going to do when I retired but I remember something my daughter told me years ago she said, "mama if you are going to work do something that is fun something you enjoy doing".  Well I missed that mark in the 30+ years of my working career but you best believe I did not let it pass me up in my retirement.

If you are still part of the workforce or recently retired like me, find the space and moments to treat yourself to some self love and and affection. It's the best thing you can do for yourself and to bring enjoyment and purpose to you. Look in our world today we all want some peace, love, and kindness and you owe it to yourself to give yourself these things.  I'm glad my friend  The Sage Book Whisper said "get back to your blog" and I'm glad she spoke those words to me. So until then I will be back soon with more things to share with you and hopefully you will follow me and pour into me. See you soon.

Blessings, Love, Peace & Kindness
